Road tripping with Cody Hamilton
Cody Hamilton ❖ 24 ❖ Asset ❖ Former Computer Programmer ❖ TAKEN
Faceclaim: Matthew Gray Gubler
Biography:
Cody was nothing to no one. He was cared for by no one, and he lived with no one, and he had no one in his life. He lived by his online persona, Kingof_theCode – not exactly threatening, but the things he could do spoke for him rather than a name he picked when he was a teenager. Then again, Cody wasn’t a threat, not really. He just knew his way around a computer system, and he knew code like the back of his hand. There was nothing he couldn’t do using code, and no system he couldn’t hack given the time and the means. That’s why he was brought to Diran.
He was stupid, reckless, but he needed to know. He found mentions of the place in the code, through his contacts. A place where clients owned assets, or were free to roam. He was intrigued, and if he exposed it… Well, there was no telling how much recognition he could get. It wasn’t about the fame though, Cody didn’t care about that. He just wanted to do some good, and help the assets escape their fate if they wished too. He was so close to breaking their firewalls, and their top-notch security when he was taken. He was moments away from leaking everything, though thinking about it he should have noticed the tail he had, the people following him. Waiting. Around about six hours before he would have broken down everything he heard an almighty smash of his door been broken down, and two men storming the room. Now, Cody isn’t the most muscular guy, and he doesn’t have any fighting skills beyond the basic hit, kick and hell even bite your way out if you have to, but he was knocked out within minutes.
When he woke up, he was at Diran. He knew why, and he knew how. He hadn’t left anyone behind so he was resigned to his new life. But he vowed if he ever got his hands on a piece of technology he’d bring down the walls around him.
Personality:
Cody is the type of person that will do wrong, but to correct a right – or at least correct it in his eyes. Often, it happens and he doesn’t realise he’s doing wrong. He thinks he’s doing the right thing, and that what he’s doing will help others and have no consequences. The male doesn’t think far enough ahead to consider the consequences, and can sometimes be seen as quite arrogant because of that. That’s also added to by the fact that he always acts as though he’s the smartest in the room, because often times in his life before Diran he has been. Especially when it comes to computers and technology, though he has quite a knowledge on a wide-array of other general things.
He’s not always arrogant and somewhat oblivious, he can be extremely sweet, and when he chooses to let things be he can be the most kind-hearted person you will ever meet. All he’s ever wanted to do is help people, which is why he started computer programming, and why he started hacking into places and tearing companies down piece by piece that did harm in one way or another. But Cody isn’t all full on one hundred percent of the time. He has a chill button as well, and honestly it’s exhausting trying to rescue everyone all the time – that doesn’t stop him trying though. He will often times incriminate put himself in harm’s way to help another.

Okay, awwww...
I was looking at Star Kidz and I saw the interview they did with Cody Hamilton (Stevie):
5. What was the experience like filming Glee? Awesome! To meet the characters. I loved singing and dancing on the stage. After 4 hours I wanted to keep doing it! 6. What was it like working with Chord Overstreet? He was very cool and nice but I loved Fin :(
9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with? Fin, Chord, Diana (she was hot and nice) from Glee. Ashleigh from Crush. The cast of Trust Me were great. They swung me around and kept punking me through out the shoot. 10. What has been your favorite project to work on? My favorite project was Glee. I could have sang and danced with them all day. One great thing about acting is you get to do things you wouldn't if you weren't an actor.
This kid sounds so cute. I want him back on Glee - give us more Stevie and Stacy!
Full interview is here is you scroll down a couple posts!
Inside the Box with: VERB Hair Products
Andrew Chan and Cody Hamilton have both enjoyed having Verb Products as a local client here in Austin. They have worked with Claire Moses and Karly Hand, from Verb, to create imagery for the fabulous hair products based out of Birds Barbershop.

Verb recently rented The Whitebox Studio to shoot a step-by-step educational video for the launch of a new product. We can't wait to check it out and decided... it was time to interview Verb's Creative Director, Karly Hand.
We asked Karly a few questions about what life was like working for Verb.
"Well, there’s lots of giggling and too many trips to magnolia café next door (affectionately renamed gag-nolia) but otherwise it’s mostly Claire and I working with our team of interns just trying to keep all the plates spinning. We cover a huge range of things from washing our hair a million times to test shampoo to picking pantone colors in the most poorly lit room on the planet to casting models to making sales sheets to shipping press kits to editors. Theres is a lot to be done but it is all good."
With expensive tastes, Karly and Claire steer the Austin based startup toward the best while working on a tight budget.
"I really just love my job. Is that an ok answer? I’ve never been upset to come to work, every day is a little different, and every day has new creative challenges."
Here is an image from one of their favorite shoots with Andrew Chan.

"I met Andrew through Jacqueline Fernandez of Bleach Online when we were staffing my favorite shoot ever: our underwater shoot. We were promoting our hydrating shampoo and conditioner and I thought it would be cool to shoot our model under water. I had no idea to achieve this, but Jacqueline suggested that Andrew might, she contacted him and he thought it would be fun to figure out. Two weeks later we were in a pool in Westlake shooting some of the best photos we’ve ever used. Our company is built on 'Hey, let’s figure this out' so it’s great to work with other people who operate the same way."

Karly finds inspiration:
"I really appreciate when someone has a strong point of view and a really specific vision. My favorite artist of all time is Gregory Crewdson. His photo sets are massive and elaborate, yet they are constructed precisely to get one very specific shot. His models don’t move, neither does anything on set, he knows exactly what he wants before the project even begins. That sort of creative direction is amazing to me. So, that’s one thing, I also like working moms and cat memes, but who doesn’t?"

Advice Karly would give to other creatives beginning a journey similar to her own, and we can't agree more...
"Learn as much about the business side of business as possible."
Well, we had a great time hearing from Karly. We can't wait to see what else she and Claire come up with. Thanks ladies.
