”It’s been a while...a long while.”
That was putting it sweetly. It had been a long while...a very very long while. Years has passed since he’s last seen his son..., and my, things have changed for the both of them. It both saddened and amazed the man to see his boy growing so quickly! Between the affects of the wormhole and his foggy memory the last he remembered was him as a young boy running about.
The warm regard on his face threatened to break into tears. Mohn was trying his best to keep a calm smile for Gladion especially but from the tears forming at the corner of his eyes it was apparent this was going to be anything but composed.
“But I’m here for Lillie...and for you.” He stepped closer with an arm raised towards him. So badly he just wanted to give Gladion a wholesome squeeze but not without his okay. Everything was so fragile.
“The first thing I promised I’d say as soon as got to see each other again was...I’m sorry.”
“Im so, so sorry.”

Alola, Route 8.
He had been here before, once; he remembered in particular a failed attempt at getting a room at the motel. He recalled simply wandering off into the forest and sleeping there instead, even with other more viable sleeping areas nearby-- so basically, business as usual for him.
For a moment, he just stared at the night sky, appreciating the sight of all the various constellations, naming a few as he scanned over them. Fascinating concepts, they were-- humans finding meaning to twinkling little lights in the sky and connecting them to things on Earth--
His train of thought was interrupted as he noticed a person walking along the other side of the road, and with them... voices. Strong, passionate voices, ones he was surprised to only be noticing now.
He silently crossed the street, stopping just behind the stranger.
“... How interesting.”
