Canon Deus: The one you all know and love. Mad scientist, heretek, chosen of Tzeentch. He’s curious and sadistic, a deadly combo. Loves experimenting on people or just taking them apart. Currently in possession of a hungry nano-swarm called the Phage. Barely sleeps. Doesn’t eat unless he has to, but when he does have to, he can’t stop himself. Pretty much crazy.
Nurgle Deus: Like Canon Deus, but dedicated to Nurgle. A little dazed and out of it most of the time, he is in constant pain from being slowly consumed by the Phage and deals with it by ingesting large amounts of drugs. He has very little concept of himself as a separate entity from the Phage, referring to himself by its name. He acts much like Deus, just less excitable and more chill.
Slaanesh Deus: This Deus brings the canon Deus’ narcissism to the forefront. He is flashy and self-absorbed and sees people as playthings to push around. He also dials up the crazy, seemingly looking for an excuse to bite into someone or drag someone back to his labs to be experimented on. He is even more vain than canon Deus; he responds violently to the implication that he is incapable of anything, particularly tech-related things.
Khorne Deus: A violent-minded individual obsessed with fine-tuning his ability to kill to perfect efficiency. He loves the carnage the Phage wreaks in its attempts to feed, almost to the point of sexual attraction to it. Gladly accepts the Phage’s hunger and tends to take bites out of his enemies after he kills them. Doesn’t so much experiment on people as tear them to pieces.
Ducktales Deus: There’s two design versions, from the original and from the 2017 reboot, but both are avid treasure hunters. He has a somewhat different idea than most about what treasure is though. He’s looking for ancient and forgotten technology. Particularly, he’s looking for a doomsday weapon with which to wipe Duckberg and surrounding areas off the map. Why? Just because he can. Because he likes power.
Steven Universe Deus: An engineer Gem, this Deus, a Rutile, is the origin point of the Gem shard and mutation experiments. She appreciates the practical applications that Homeworld has found for her work, but she finds that its greatest value is in the screams and distorted cries of tortured Gems. She is physically as well as mentally unstable, her form distorted and birdlike rather than the humanoid form Gems almost always take. She has massive technological augmentations, which make her a dangerous foe despite her lack of weapon.
Sonic Deus: This Deus, like Ducktales Deus, operates on a much smaller scale than many of the other Deuses, being limited to a planet, and oftentimes a country. This allows Deus’s omnicidal maniac tendencies to emerge. This Deus also wants to kill everybody in the world, not that he quite realizes that’s what he’s doing. He wants to create a tech paradise, but that involves either murdering all organic beings or turning them all into robots. He tends to take the first option.
Chronicles/World of Darkness Deus: Deus is a Claimed, one permanently possessed and merged with a spirit. The sprit in question is a magath, a bizarre hybrid spirit, in this case of hunger and pain, that calls itself the Phage. Deus was an accomplished medical student, and he takes advantage of this experience with the human body as a Claimed to cause extreme pain to everyone he can. He’s also constantly hungry and will eat damn near anything you give him, as long as it’s not got poppy seeds in it.
