Okay but what was the point of beginning this super interesting dynamic between Carl and Negan just to kill Carl off? I really wanted more of that. I hate this show. I mean I love it. But I hate it.

it must be SO effing nice to get hired for a certain position, and five minutes afterward on your first day, just mentally "nope" yourself out of doing any work, getting anything beneficial put in place, keeping anything malevolent permanently out of the system, or if that doesn't work, guaranteeing that said malevolent things face some kind of justice in the end.
