This is so inspirational that I can’t even.
Wilted plant on an icecream tub on one corner of the office reminds me of myself
For a moment
But I’m lucky because I’m not beyond saving
I don’t know why
But this kind of thought almost always appear whenever I’m sipping my coffee
And it’s black, without milk and sugar
I actually ate the sugar first. I usually don’t
But it was wrapped in a table napkin and I couldn’t get myself to throw it out
Bitter aftertaste lingers on my tongue
I don’t hate it
I took another glance at the plant
Checking to see if maybe I saw wrong and it was actually still alive, it’s not
I’ve downed my coffee
And I’m done writing
I wanted a little bit of a break from trying out all of the ColourPop palettes and decided to give the Dominique Cosmetics Latte Palette a try. When I brought all of these palettes like a month ago, Dominique Cosmetics had just arrived to Ulta and I wanted to get my hands on the latte palette in the worst way. It was just calling to me with the blue, orange, and neutral tones. Plus everything is named after coffee and have massive pan size for each shadow.
About the Palette
Dominique Cosmetics The Latte palette is designed to work for all skin tones, eye colors, and makeup artistry skills. The palette features ten color shadows for any day-to-night look.
Includes five transitional colors that can be used all over the lid, crease, below the eyes to correct dullness or added as bronzer or blush to the cheeks. Three gorgeous foil shimmer shades that can be used all over the eye, inner corners, as a halo on the center of the eye or as a face highlight. Includes two pops of color that make any eye color stand out! The forumlas are super blendable so you can create soft looks and buildable to an intense payoff that is long lasting and luxurious.
Shades in the Palette
Hazelnut: Matte warm brown with a red undertone
Caramel: Matte light taupe with a cool undertone
Vanilla Creme: Matte muted yellow
Mocha: Matte chocolate brown
Pumpkin Spice: Matte rustic muted orange with red undertones
Espresso: Foil brown with gold flecks
Macchiato: Foil champagne with gold flecks
Creme Brulee: Foil copper rose gold
Cold Brew: Matte deep teal
Double Shot: Matte purple with red undertones
I wore almost every single eyeshadow in this palette for this look minus double shot and espresso. I started out with vanilla creme all over the lid up to my brow bone. Then took Caramel to deepen up the crease, and added hazelnut as well to the crease to give it more depth. Afterwards, I look mocha mixed with pumpkin spice to deep up the outer corner. And ran those two colors under my lower lashes. Next I added a little bit of cold brew mixed with mocha to the outer corner to give it some more definition. Next I took Creme Brulee on my finger across my lid. Then applied Macchiato in the inner corner. After I just used some more Pumpkin Spice to make sure everything was blended together. I used a bit of Wet n Wild Skinny Liquid Liner and Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara to complete the eyes. And used Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Mannequinn to complete this look.
Overall, I really love this palette as it’s so versiatile. I mean Christen Dominique made the palette to work for anyone, plus wanted the shades to be used in more than just for the eyes. She made the shimmers also work for a soft higlight and some of the matte shadows can be used for contour. And double shot as long as you use a light hand can be made into a blush. It’s truly the only palette you would need to take on the go. And I love that about this palette. Plus the shadows applied like a dream which is always a major plus.
Love ya,

Coffee
Today, My cup of coffee reminded me of you. A hint of bitterness, To remind me of hardship we've walked through together. A rich creamy taste, To remind me of the nostalgic memories we had. An intoxicating fragrant, That tingles my senses. Just like you, When you're around, everything I feel heightens. Joy, Love and You. Just feeling you. A pretty swirl hidden amongst the foam, Just like those little butterflies in my tummy when we first met. The warmth from the coffee felt like how my heart literally melt when ever you showed me how you love me. and there I saw you standing right there, smiling at me, radiating warmth and love just like my cup of coffee. " Coffee? " I asked. " You know I can't live without it. " You joked with a knowing grin. " Me too, " I smiled, as I gently pushed the cup of coffee into your hands. " I can't live without it too. "
