“No you won’t.” Diego rolled his eyes at her, trying not to laugh at the words, seeing that she wouldn’t have hurt a fly, let alone another person, but to see this side of her, Diego couldn’t help but snicker in the slightest. “You don’t have it in you to kill anybody, but—if you really want to know who did this, it’s these assassins. I think they came after Five. And, as far as I can tell, they’re not stopping anytime soon.” He huffed back, with a slight glare aimed in the direction that they had fled the house. “They’re bad news, and I don’t want you around here for them to hurt you.”

“You know, I really don’t think you do hate being the one to tell me that.” Steve interjected, a slight grin pulling at his lips as he looked to Nancy, feeling as though she liked telling him off more than anything. “‘I told you so’ is basically like your go-to phrase when it comes to anything I do these days.” It felt like it wasn’t completely inaccurate, as it seemed Steve had done a lot of things that Nancy had warned him against, though his more impulsive nature left him with a sort of childlike wonder as far as listening to others went. “Telling me not to do something is practically begging me to do it out of pure defiance.”

“It’s so peaceful out here.” (Alexander and Angelica)

“It’s always been my favorite place to sit and...think.” Alexander posited with a short and simple nod, giving into a glance over at Angelica, before his lips curled slightly. “Sometimes we get too caught up in the world, we get too overindulgent in others.” This wasn’t any sort of break, though it might have looked like one. Alexander didn’t take breaks, but as he sat on the bench taking in the fresh air, he added, “I like to work out here, I need to work out here to get a new perspective, and to think about the next steps for...everything.” He was adamant about that, and while it was painfully obvious that he hadn’t gotten much sleep over the past week, he had to keep working.
