Baby coffee plants. I spent the morning replanting different varieties of coffee seeds I had collected. Given these plants picture are from Flores, Indonesia, the variety name “USDA” seems a bit odd. In fact they are a Ethiopia selection that the US department of agriculture sent to Java from their research facility In Maryland (!) to Jember coffee research in Java in 1956. The original collection site for USDA was Mizan Teferi in Bench Maji zone of western Ethiopia. So my little plants are global travelers! #coffeeplant #coffeevarieties #coffeecultivar #usda #indonesiancoffee #florescoffee https://www.instagram.com/p/B5dSiGwnQ4Z/?igshid=mloff7s2f18c
