I told my boyfriend I like g/t

Yeah! I was debating on this for a while as some of you guys know. I finally decided to share him my story (Out of Bounds) and then I said I just enjoy giants in general, how Arrietty inspired me and how there's a community of people who feels the same

He said that's cool and he likes giants as well lol (I don't think it's in the same way as g/t, but that was nice to hear)

Anyway I was of course very embarassed so I just told him stuff through text messages, but his reaction was super normal as we all expected aushshs he said he didn't understand why I was so embarrassed about it XD he enjoyed my story idea and that made me very happy.

So yeah, another positive story for y'all

I think one of the reasons why my giants kept getting bigger and bigger as I created new OCs is that I Love the existential dread that comes with a being that has a larger size difference.

Like, my favorite range rn is between 100-150 feet because at this size the humans are around as tall as a finger. And that's crazyyy it's so ridiculously tiny.

It makes me think of how fragile they'd look from the giant's perspective, or how inhumanely big they'd look from the human's perspective.

The giant would be less like a person and more like a structure, a living organism that you can't fully process. Imagine a giant of this size roaming around, fading in the distance because they're so huge the atmosphere blends them in with the environment. Or how much vibrations and sounds they'd make by just walking, completely shaking the structures around them. It brings such a drastic dehumanization that it's even more satisfying when you write them, write the human slowly seeing the person within, or the giant being able to communicate and connect with others a fraction of their size. It's addictingly fascinating to me

Absolutely obsessed with this small side plot in Godaigo Daigo where a giant wants to fall in love but he just fails at it every time

Only for him to fall in love with the giant sociology scholar who has megalophobia LMAO

They have a video call where he pretends he's human and everything but when they meet in person for the first time she faints lmaoo is this an actual g/t fic??

But when she says how she really feels he says he loves her while fighting against a kaiju I can't -

I'm really trying to get the courage to tell my boyfriend about the stories I make but man it's harddd 😭 he knows I write and I show him some of my drawings, and he's very curious about my stories and such (thank goodness he doesn't know English lmao) but like, I just can't bring myself to tell him, I get so embarrassed. My bf is the biggest normie to ever norm in the history of normies lmao he wasn't chronically online as I was growing up. I just think he'd feel so confused at the concept of g/t and think it's weird 😭😭

Anyway I know a lot of you guys feel the same way as I do but to those who shared to their friends or loved ones you like g/t, how did it go? I really wanna share this part of myself to my bf but maaaan I just cringe thinking about it

I always wanted to add more variety to my character designs, because usually when I make them they tend to have similar body types, specially the men. You know the usual, lean but muscular, pack of abs type.

Then when I created Ethan, I wanted to make something different. I wanted to draw a character that was both bulky, like very muscular, but also soft, with a belly and all. Like strongmen or heavy lifters.

Y'all... I think something awakened within me LMAO How have I never noticed it... The BEAUTY of strong yet soft men...

And that's how Ethan became the oc I find most attractive ahsushhsuhs

Man... I am NOT a romantasy gal.

I've been trying to read some webtoons these days, and after reading The Greatest Estate Developer I was like, "man, I think I need to read some female-focused comics!"

Bruh. I can't with all the romance I'm so sorry 😭 and like, I'm not against romance and usually I love female-focused media. My recent anime series are all women-friendly. But smth about the way romance is written in those comics INFURIATE me.

Like, when there's not an useless love triangle there's always, always a toxic trait the male lead needs to have. But nothing pisses me off more than a love triangle, specially when the second male lead is better.

And the romance itself is so full of those sappy, flowery lines like... "before, my life was dull and grey. But now, I can't like without you" NAURRR I CAN'T 😭😭

It's so hard cause you read male-focused media and it has great action and not romance sappiness, but usually it's shock-full of misogyny, or the female characters are badly written or not that relevant. Then you try reading female-focused media and the characters are better written, the female leads take front row seat, but it either has boring, drawn out, melodrama romance, or a male lead that's domineering or red flaggy in some other way (did I also mention I despise enemies to lovers? So you can imagine my situation)

This is why I need to write more because the more popular works out there usually doesn't cater to my highly specific tastes 😔 have you guys ever went through the same thing?

But I haven't given up! I'm sure I'll find some piece of work that has the perfect dose of action and romance without being sappy or misogynistic! There must be a way... 🫠

I feel like if I told my bf about g/t I'd either get one of those two outcomes

He'd think it's kinda weird ("why the heck do you like giant men")

(Most probable) He'd tease me about it, like asking if I'd like him to be giant and such, which is even worse 😭😭

Both outcomes make me feel mortified lmao
