Sci-fi and drama, angst with a bittersweet ending, post-apocalyptic, utopia, growing into a giant, family bonds, friendship.
Summary: When a genetic mutation turns 2% of the world's population into towering giants, the world scrambles to contain the crisis. Ethan Greenwood thinks he's safe inside the borders of Steelfort. With a loving mom, lots of friends, and a promising career as a public defender, his life felt like it was finally taking off.
Until he's diagnosed with the mutation himself.
As he outgrows his old life, Ethan grapples with his humanity in a world that treats him as anything but. When he's escorted out of his home and blamed for a slaughter he didn't commit, Ethan must juggle his own survival with a body meant for destruction, while holding onto what's left of his old self.
His mother Helena refuses to give up on him. Joined by Ethan's best friends, Zora and Seb, she sets out on a dangerous journey into a world that has become far too big for them.
This is going to become a novel this year! For now, I have some short stories exploring the characters and the world.

G/t Night Dream (Cole and Lia) - WORK IN PROGRESS
Sci-fi, dystopian, memory loss, friendship groups, romance, tiny people being oppressed, borrowers (to an extent), angst with a bittersweet ending, growing into a giant.
Summary: Humanity has known how to hide and run for over a century now. On Earth, the hyperion are the superior, evolved race, while humanity are treated as less than pests. In a hidden underground society, a human resistance tries to get by as they borrow resources from the hyperions' houses.
Cole has been a reliable leader of his scavenging group for a while now, and he gains the additional loyalty and support of a new member, Lia, someone he had saved recently. But when Cole is captured and turned into one of them, Lia decides it's her turn to save him.
For now, only a few snippets of these characters' stories are avaiable.

Summary: Self-procclaimed genius Kylon dreams of a better life for him and his friend Rosemary after being ostracized from their prejudiced village. But when Kylon ventures too far into the Imore Woods, what he finds next might involve him and his friend with the place's local legend.

Hey, um, asking in good faith here I swear, but I’m just a little confused about G/t. I’ve always liked it but I have someeeeee concerns? I guess? lol. People have been saying that g/t isn’t a kink or a fetish but it feels like it is? Even the fluffy stuff. Domesticity can still register as a part of kink if the kink behavior (in this case sizeplay) is still performed, I guess? I’m not really here for that so I just wanna know what the general stance is. I just don’t think that explaining this to a person who isn’t into gt already and showing them why it’s latched onto our brains would make them into it in the way that we are. I get that there’s the whole ‘well this community and I do not view it as sexual and therefore it is not sexual’ argument, I hear you, but the hangup for me lies more within the actions than the thoughts. We can think six ways from Sunday about whether or not this is fetishistic but at the end of the day what we do is what matters and our actions are what is communicated. I think maybe my question is this: What makes G/t different from a kink or fetish beyond just saying that it is?

Okay I'll try to answer this as best as I can! This is a complicated question. I'm 8 years and counting into g/t and had the same questions as well, so I think I can help
Imo, we have to look into the definition of what a kink or fetish is. A fetish is something that is generally non-sexual that triggers a sexual response (arousal) on the individual.
So, if someone is looking at an interaction between a giant and tiny and having an arousal, then yeah, they have a size kink.
The problem is, we don't know people on the internet. We don't know if they're getting some gratification from fluffy g/t or not.
However, from my experience and what I was unfortunately exposed to here lol, there's a very clear difference between the content created in a wholesome way (g/t) and stuff created for nsfw purposes (macro/micro).
I think what you're confusing here is that people who like g/t usually have an emotional response to tropes and scenarios, like excitement. Just like when you have a crush and there's butterflies in the stomach from it. It's definitely something above a neutral interest, but it's completely non-sexual.
That's how it's personally what happens to me and imo, what personally happens to other people. This definitely wasn't the first time I saw this type of discussion in the community, and considering a lot of people don't respect the tags, I understand why you'd be confused.
I always wanted to add more variety to my character designs, because usually when I make them they tend to have similar body types, specially the men. You know the usual, lean but muscular, pack of abs type.
Then when I created Ethan, I wanted to make something different. I wanted to draw a character that was both bulky, like very muscular, but also soft, with a belly and all. Like strongmen or heavy lifters.
Y'all... I think something awakened within me LMAO How have I never noticed it... The BEAUTY of strong yet soft men...
And that's how Ethan became the oc I find most attractive ahsushhsuhs

So, I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm no longer a graphic designer. These past two years I've been studying hard to get a public job, which will guarantee me some very much needed stability and good living conditions.
Good news is, I finally passed! I'm not done studying, there's other better public jobs I want to get in in the future, but this is my starting point and I couldn't be happier!
Bad news is, I'll have to move out. Gonna live alone for the first time in my life in a different city AND different state.
Needless to say I'm an emotional wreck ahahshsh a bunch of different emotions in my heart. So right now I'm super busy providing documentation, looking for apartments, all that jazz to prepare for my move.
I think I'm gonna be quite busy until July.
I have plans on answering asks with full drawings, as well as finishing my character designs for Out of Bounds before actually starting the story (Zora, Ian and Helena are basically finished, only Seb left. But I need to make more drawings to upload their character sheets!) and I also plan on doing some comics before I officially start writing for my story.
Idk when I'll get back into my hobbies, but I'll let you guys know!

Basically, Ethan had an initial growth spurt that put him at around 8 feet overnight. So he had to duck under dorways ever since the night he discovered he had hyperon syndrome.
one thing abt me is that i loveeee g/t logistics. like yes please explain to me how you brush your teeth and keep yourself clean and where you get your clothes and what and how much you eat and who cuts your hair and exactly what it takes for you to exist in a world thats the wrong size for you. please

I've been trying to read some webtoons these days, and after reading The Greatest Estate Developer I was like, "man, I think I need to read some female-focused comics!"
Bruh. I can't with all the romance I'm so sorry 😭 and like, I'm not against romance and usually I love female-focused media. My recent anime series are all women-friendly. But smth about the way romance is written in those comics INFURIATE me.
Like, when there's not an useless love triangle there's always, always a toxic trait the male lead needs to have. But nothing pisses me off more than a love triangle, specially when the second male lead is better.
And the romance itself is so full of those sappy, flowery lines like... "before, my life was dull and grey. But now, I can't like without you" NAURRR I CAN'T 😭😭
It's so hard cause you read male-focused media and it has great action and not romance sappiness, but usually it's shock-full of misogyny, or the female characters are badly written or not that relevant. Then you try reading female-focused media and the characters are better written, the female leads take front row seat, but it either has boring, drawn out, melodrama romance, or a male lead that's domineering or red flaggy in some other way (did I also mention I despise enemies to lovers? So you can imagine my situation)
This is why I need to write more because the more popular works out there usually doesn't cater to my highly specific tastes 😔 have you guys ever went through the same thing?
But I haven't given up! I'm sure I'll find some piece of work that has the perfect dose of action and romance without being sappy or misogynistic! There must be a way... 🫠
Okay before i get waaaay too far into myself. Cause i have no previous skill in organizing such things or how to go about it. Or if this would be enough time for some people, or if this is something that'd be better to try next year.

Was thinking it would be fun to do a little project with the G/t community cause i know there are lots of talented people here. And i'd contribute to the opening and other slots if need be as well. I just want to see how much general interest there is first to such a thought. Or considering that Hug a Giant day is July 21st and i'd need people's files before that date, if that'd be asking too much as of right now.
This is the song i was thinking of if we have enough general interest. Thinking it would be cute for people to feature their oc's, characters with each color.
