CONTACT SHEET Using what I have learned today on how to make a Contact Sheet I have tried producing my own work onto a contact sheet; more experience for when I go to make a profile of my work.
Post Production Task 3 I downloaded an A3 canvas off of my city for each of my portfolio prints, it worked well as it made the prints more professional with a neat boarder which made all the images look equally sized correctly. Before sending to print I changed the resolution making sure it was 300ppi and sharpened each image.
Adobe bridge and Lightroom review
After using both forms of software and recognising the difference in usage and format layouts they both offer, I’m able to have a opinion on both and what I may like and dislike about them.
Bridge - It is easily used to sort out files and has a smart star rating system to make it easier to sort out “final” photos from hundreds and thousands of images on a camera/memory disc. You can also make a collection of files which you can select and arrange for even more easy access and time efficient. It has a easy access to open a photo on photoshop straight from adobe bridge in order to edit the said image that was chosen.
Lightroom - Unlike bridge it isn’t a file organiser software but a software that enables you to put copyright on your photos which can come in handy. There is a feature I really like which is the before and after tool that shows any simple edits you can change on a photo and if you like anything before hand it is easily changed back.
Out of the two I would say I like bridge more as it is of good use to have software that you can organise photos quickly and efficiently especially when you’ve got so much to choose from, and if you need to edit it is straight forward to open from adobe bridge which you can’t do on light room which lets it down in all fairness.

Gertrude Kasebier. Emulate evidence of digital imagine 1900-1950. For this task I researched a photographer called Gertrude Kasebier who used a technique called Gum Bichromate. Gum bichromate is a multi-layered printing process creating different pastel colours.
