here’s a warning that i listen to some of the strangest people then i have the audacity to say “i don’t think asap rocky’s music is for me”

NOW, I LOVE RAP AND HIP HOP!!! i used to be a bit of a self hating black kid and my friend always talks about how cool it is that certain things in black culture can like...help undo one’s c**nery...and that’s true!!! long story short, a lot of the people around me made me embarrassed to listen to rap music then when i spent 1.5 years by myself (cuz of covid) and reevaluated, i had a lot of realizations. and now im obsessed with hip hop, i think it’s one of the most creative music genres, and i am very defensive over it lol.

freddie gibbs, JID, lancey foux, pusha t all have the ability to take a spot here. and maybe schoolboy q if he drops this year. also i literally just listened to the mick jenkins album so i have to let it sit but i think i loved it.

i don’t only listen to hip hop!! it’s just my overwhelmingly most listened to genre. but i also love house/garage/actual dubstep, city pop, and pop punk 🤡i’m one of those mfs that will “listen to anything as long as it’s good.”

on this account i’ll post my unimportant album reviews and my song-by-song analysis of every album i’m obsessed with so. also i’d love to meet other people but idk how this works so oh well. i’ll put applicable tags and see what happens
