even mildly emotional stuff with henry will almost always make me cry. he is so doomed by the narrative!!! re-watched s1e24 "showtime" where his son is born and he's sad about being away and not getting to see his kid. and he's never gonna see that kid. he's never going to go home.
Henry?
Trapper?
I miss my friends...
I have a new phone with a little home screen that reminds me of certain photos taken in the past. Welcome back to August 1, 2018 (when I evidently took this picture in the Swamp)!
Earlier today it also showed me this one, which is from the forgotten Wayne Rogers vehicle ONCE IN PARIS... (1978). [sic] [the ellipsis]
I mean the last thing you want to know when you ask, 'How am I?' is how I'm doing.
Col Henry Blake (Pilot)
One of the most relatable things Henry ever said
Nov. 14: Remembering McLean Stevenson today on his birthday! Here’s to Henry Blake, one of the greatest characters in sitcomdom, and the sweet, hilarious guy who brought him to life. There will never be another.
mclean stevenson always looks like he has two black eyes.
What happened when Henry died?
Was there a warning? Did he know there was trouble, that they were in danger, or was he sitting blissfully ignorant in his seat, too excited to sleep? Or did he in fact feel so relived to get out of Korea that he slept, relishing the first feeling of safety he'd had in ages?
When the plane was shot down, did he die instantly, or was he injured? Or did he manage to stay unharmed until the final crash? Did he linger? Did he realize his death was coming and try to brace himself for it, or did it snatch him before he could catch his breath?
Did he have time to think about anything, anyone? Who did he think of?
Did he cry, was he scared?
Did it hurt?
