The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is expected to announce
I’ve lived about 30 minutes away from San Luis Obispo for 30 years now, so hearing this news this morning just about make me jump with joy. It’s been a very long time in coming, and hopefully they’ve got a solid enough case to finally put Paul Flores’ ass in jail for the rest of his life. The one disappointing aspect of today’s news, though, is that Kristin is still missing. I so want her parents to be able to have some closure and be able to give her a proper memorial.
The Ghost of Sharon Jones: The Cold Case Murder That Still Haunts Elizabeth City State University
In the quiet town of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, there’s a chilling story that refuses to die—even though the building it’s tied to no longer stands.
Back in the spring of 1984, tragedy struck the Mitchel-Lewis Dormitory at Elizabeth City State University. A young woman named Sharon Jones was found murdered in what would become one of the college’s darkest chapters.
Her body was discovered…
An Oregon man has been found guilty in the case of an Alaska teen who died in 1978.
16-year-old Shelley Connolly was found dead along Turnagain Arm almost 46 years ago, but murder case went cold until 2019, when DNA evidence
Prosecution had: DNA supposedly from the victim inside or on her.
Prosecution didn’t have:
Motive
Witnesses
Opportunity
Testimonies
Accurate timeline of events
Due diligent process.
Investigating ALL suspects
What the Defense had:
Alibi
Willingly gave DNA that wasnt illegally obtained from the suspects hone
Witnesses
Testimonies
A confession by a previously known suspect who named dropped the others involved
Suspect cooperated 100% of the time, never once spoke out of turn, broke rules of house arrest, traveled without an armed escort or was forced to attend court - completely volunteered himself for DNA which the prosecution lied and said he was unwilling since 2019 when he was first arrested. Prosecution claims there were no other suspects, Prosecution lied about obtaining DNA, gave press knowingly wrong information to slander his name. False allegations shown on TV in Alaska ensuring a one sided trial and tampered jury. Body of the deceased was tampered with by two state troopers who posed her as a trophy and smiled in a picture. They took her body to a funeral home where she was stripped for said picture instead of taking her to the mortician or police precinct for her body to be examined properly.
Lead detective told the suspect that he was
“Dying of cancer and should just confess anyways.” Lead detective has a history of telling suspects to turn themselves in or kill themselves. His office had not solved a case for 30 years according to some fellow officers and was about to lose funding for his office until suddenly the case was reopened out of the blue. There is reason to believe a guilty verdict was pushed due to the fact Alaska publicized this case and did not want to look foolish for imprisoning a man for nearly 5 years only to have to release him. That or John Reed - the man who confessed to the crime and name drooped his assailants was killed by being stabbed 16 times in the back - the same age as Shelley Connolly - the sister of John Reed witnessed a police officer giving a relative $10,000 and stated “Its done.” Before leaving. Whether or not this is a cover up of rogue officer taking justice into his own hands or a cover up to save face for failing detective - the truth is a man and his family have been made to suffer for the crimes of another. Their reputation dragged through the mud and family members have been threatened and harassed online due to this miscarriage of justice.
