What are your top 5 cold opens??

This is so hard— I feel like I don’t remember most of the cold opens, let alone which episode they belong with haha. But I tried my best.

My favorite cold open is the one from 2x07 Safety - aka the one where Tim’s Rams game gets interrupted by a high speed chase. It’s iconic

5x10 The List - aka Tim and Lucy’s first date. This one I struggle with a little bit, because the rom com opening with them trying on their whole wardrobes and then that super sweet phone call with their smiles is one of my favorite scenes. And I’ve seen it probably 20 times now and I still laugh out loud every time there’s the abrupt music change and Lucy decides against the green dress. But I’m not going to lie— I suffer from really bad second hand embarrassment and I legitimately can’t watch the first part of their date 🙈. Everything else about it is 10/10 though!

5x22 Under Siege - Aka the masked men go after Aaron and Celina. It’s such a departure from all of the other cold opens, and they pulled off the horror movie vibe so well. (Side note: shout out to 2x11 Day of Death for a similar tonal vibe and 3x14 Threshold for also being a good kind of different tone)

1x06 The Hawke - Aka the one where Lucy flips the shop. It’s short. It’s funny. There’s literally zero explanation. And I like to think that it’s part of the reason that Tim almost never lets Lucy drive even to this day

5x11 The Naked and the Dead - Aka the one with the VR goggles. I don’t know why. Despite the fact that I’m not a big Nolan fan, watching him fall through the title card never fails to elicit a chuckle
