Silver saw palmetto (Serenoa repens)... This species of palm has turned out to be a surprisingly hardy palm for central Indiana (Quite literally on the 5B/6A line). Even if parts of the palm get damaged in the winter, when covered with about 12” (30 cm) of leaves, it grows right back in spring.
