It's a heavy night
You know I'm a heavy sight
It's a lonesome home
My old cold case to comb
I could have done better
I could have done so much better

What do prime alchemists and prime mystics do? Is it a rank or a position? Whats the diffrence between them? Are they schools of magic or it just something people Do? What led sorrel and david to become alchemist and mystic respectively? What is the social hierarchy? Is there a government? And if so what kind? How large is the city they're in and what is the landscaping like around it?
Each member of the Nexus studies under a specific field of magic. These fields include:
Alchemy
Cognitive
Divination
Elemental
Healing
Illusion
Engineering
History/Theory
Mysticism
Each field has a strict hierarchy system:
Grand Scholar
Leader of their given field. Oversees all affairs involving their field of study.
Prime Scholar
Considered experts of their field. Able to invite outsiders into the Nexus as guests and are also able to take in apprentices. Can research whatever they want without first seeking approval of the Grand Scholar (however, the GS can still veto/cancel any project they don’t approve of.)
Scholar
Official members of the field. Able to do independent research, but all projects must be approved of by the Grand Scholar.
Apprentice
New additions to the field who study under a Prime Scholar.
There is a lot of sabotage and drama within the Nexus.
Outside of these specific fields, there are also two other positions:
Arch Scholar
Oversees all Nexus affairs. Only a Councilman can become Arch Scholar.
Councilman
Makes major decisions within the Nexus, including electing the Grand Scholar. To become a Councilman, one must choose to leave their selected field of study, this involves removing their name from all of their research and becoming a neutral figure within the Nexus. Then they must spend the next 10 years studying the other fields.
The Nexus used to be part of the surrounding nation of Wayland, but so much money and resources were pumped into it that over time it became its own independent city-state. It’s a large, flat area nestled in the mountains.
Sorrel comes from a family of alchemists, so it was expected that she would study within the same field as well. She became an apprentice at age 10 (which is normal for families of scholars). Alchemy is one of the oldest fields in the Nexus, so there’s this certain sense of prestige (snobbishness) around it.
David has always been fascinated by planes and spirits, which is why he joined the mysticism field. Unfortunately, it’s dangerous work and he’s a family man now. But he loves his work and he doesn’t want to start over as an apprentice.
The best thing about couriers is that everyone has such a diffrent courier in character design like theyre all so unique
Yeah, it’s neat seeing the different designs.
Im glad the project isnt dead, art looks sick bro
Thank you! :D
@coldwillow even if i had them Im afraid theyd be eaten before I could give them away 👀
Fallout new vegas, a SEVEN YEAR OLD GAME is still in the redbox while fallout 4 isnt
whats kinda funny is i can see someone finishing fallout 4 in a speed run and being pretty much done with it after one play you know? everything will always be the same until you get to a certain part and then its sorta the same just with a different faction, so unless your really invested in more then 1 of the factions then its just boring to replay. fnv you can play it once but you still miss out on a lot of stuff you know, theres a good amount of replay value to it even if you arent invested in factions. like you can play the independent ending a bunch of different ways, but with fo4 the minuteman ending is just one way and one way only. i saw one person who was pissed because they were trying to play as a raider, but the only ending they could have was the MM since all the other factions are more authoritarian, and like it didnt make any sense… but it was their only option as a raider who didnt play by rules. kinda idk. sad?

Is Joyce just as fu kin weird as her dad
Obviously. I doubt anyone could spend more than a year around Quentin without coming out a little weird. Girl was doing necromancy at age 6. The Circle hates her. She inherited his ceiling eyes.
