This set is named the Pyramid Runes because of the shape.

For the record, tetrahedral bag = hella awkward to sew, but it was a design choice that was entirely self-inflicted so really I have no right to complain. It's partially machine-sewn, partially hand-sewn. Exterior is green velvet; interior is a sort of burgundy microsuede-ish stuff. The blue nylon cord threads through six grommets to close the bag, is adorned with a beaded charm thing and cinched with a cylindrical red glass bead. Each pair of grommets is adorned with a beaded drop/pendant/charm thingy.

The stones are green glass, roughly tetrahedron-shaped. Runes were engraved into all four sides and filled in with metallic silver-white paint and baked in the oven to fuse the paint to the glass.

The bag opens like some kind of tri-lobed Xenomorph egg and I kind of love that.

Many years on and these still don't have a proper title. Suggestions welcome.

The runes are made out of blue glass stones with the lines engraved using a Dremel and diamond engraving bit, coloured with porcelain paint and baked in an oven to fuse the paint to the glass. The bag is fuchsia pleather stuff with a white velvet lining. It closes with a length of blue nylon cord threaded through eight grommets around the opening. The cord is capped off with a silvertone crimp and decorated with three pink/blue beaded drops and a blue bead star charm thingy. The whole thing cinches shut with three blue glass beads.

The bag was an interesting shape to sew, but worked out better than I thought it would.

Blue ruuunes… ♪♫

Blue/green colour scheme for these ones. A friend said it reminded them of oceans, thus these are named the Blue Lagoon Runes.

Original plan was to just glue gems in place wherever, in the hopes that random throw-and-go would be faster, but… yeah, we can all see how long that plan lasted.

Wooden box, metallic blue paint, various plastic rhinestones, craft foam, green velvet, blue glass rocks, a Dremel and engraving burr, and green porcelain paint.

Decided to start with something easy when I was first teaching myself how to engrave glass years ago, so I made a rune set. Can definitely tell it is earlier work; the runes are fine but the bag could have been better. I still have this set so I'm thinking of making some changes, mostly to the cord. Do some fancy knotwork or braiding or something to shorten it and make it look less boring.

Rune stones are blue glass with the runes engraved into the surface using a Dremel and a diamond burr. The engraved areas were then filled with metallic white porcelain paint, and the stones baked in an oven to fuse the paint to the glass.

Bag is blue leather with a white velvet lining, and closes with two metal snaps. Cord is nylon with metal end-caps and glass bead decorations.

I call this set the Ice Runes because they have wintery colours going on.

These are the Regal Runes. Considered calling them the Royal Runes, but with the colour scheme going on it may have seemed like I was naming them after Crown Royal whisky.

Lamé-type fabric is nowhere near as forgiving as velour/velvet/fuzzy stuff when it comes to gluing it to the foam padding, especially at the corners. It's thicker than the velvet I usually go for, and doesn't stretch as well either, so the corner folds were all blarg. I don't really want to use that fabric again, though I probably will anyway, because that metallic look is just so nice (and also I still have a lot of it, so at some point I do need to use it for something).

The lid closes magnetically. It's not a super strong magnet though. The box can be turned upside down with no problem, but forcefully shaking it without holding it shut is an invitation to sending tiny runes flying everywhere.

Box measures 8.25cm x 6.25cm x 6.5cm (~3.25" x 2.45" x 2.55"). Inside dimensions are 5.5cm x 3.25cm x 3.5cm (~2.15" x 1.28" x 1.38"). The glass rune stones are about 1.5cm wide.

Time Spent: ...I never really have any idea with these things. The runes generally take about an hour to make — closer to two if you count painting time — and I lose complete track of time when it comes to the boxes or bags, whatever the case may be. Carefully placing all those rhinestones took a while.

This set is named the Heart Runes, which I'm sure comes as a surprise to nobody.

Came together not quite serendipitously, but definitely elegantly. Found the heart-shaped decorative glass stones in the clearance bin at one of the local craft stores, and acquired the heart-shaped tin from I forget where at around the same time. Twenty-four of the stones fit very nicely inside the tin, so I knew what needed to be done.

Tin is lined with white velvet over foam, and the outside has a strip of white reflective tape wrapped around it because I thought it'd be kind of cool, and to have some white on the outside too (I am very focused on themed palettes with my rune sets, in case it hasn't been noticed yet).

Glass stones were engraved by hand using a Dremel and diamond burrs. The lines of the runes were painted in with metallic white porcelain paint, then the stones were baked in an oven to fuse the paint to the glass.

Blue glass vase sandblasted with music symbols. Photo quality isn't the best but I no longer have this item so I can't take new ones (made it back in 2018 or so).

Glitter jar featuring the skull emblem thing plus spiky vine frame from Mystery Skulls Animated. Skull logo was sandblasted into the outer surface, then the jar was filled with pink glitter and glow powder and mineral oil, and the lid glued on.

Dimensions: Approximately 6cm tall and 3cm in diameter.

The outer surface is sandblasted with the Mystery Skulls Animated skull emblem surrounded by spiky vines forming a vaguely triangular shape around the skull. The jar is filled with a mix of pink glitter and glow powder suspended in clear mineral oil.

The first ten seconds of video is a turnaround of the jar, showing off the sandblasted design. The glitter and glow powder has settled to the bottom of the jar.

Second part of the video shows the jar being flipped and twisted around to get the the glitter and glow powder moving. At first the glitter falls very slowly, then picks up speed as larger globs begin to fall, until the whole mass breaks away from the base of the jar in a shimmery cascade. The jar is spun around a few more times to show off the swirling insides from multiple angles.

The last forty-five seconds of video show the same twirling-about thing but under UV light, to show off how brightly the pink glow powder fluoresces. End description.]
