             it was a rare occurrence, especially to those who knew him best, that rizo had almost nothing to say. a witty quip here, a pop culture reference there...none of those seemed to come now. staring at the man he had called his best friend, one of his closest friends he's made ever since the gates of blackthorne closed. while he's no saint and his list of white lies could easily engulf him in his own shallow guilt, he couldn't quite imagine living a lie. living as a different person. a result of being a twin, he supposes. identity politics and growing up emphasizing the importance of being an individual. but he can't quite remember the reasons he'd argue with if he ever got into a debate about it; what arguing with another person was even like let alone someone he'd felt close to like he was with his sister, because he is feeling absolute nothingness at that moment. nothing but one question, a priority he's put on the top of the list. leaving her dorm felt awkward, though staying in her dorm felt awkward in a different way. most of her roommates had known previously, or been directly involved, which sort of made jas feel better about the entire situation but also like she wasn’t sure what to say to them. add in louis dropping everything to come see her and the vibes were more than off. jas was trying to quickly get something to go from the food court, nearly crashing into someone in her haste to be in a less crowded area. “oh, cole, sorry,” she apologized, shaking her head. knowing how close he was to mary, she wondered if he’d known already, and if so, if he’d known everyone involved. “my head is kind of...everywhere right now.” / @coleconnerhq​
