Hope Dickson Leigh's fabulously dark and witty short film Morning Echo is the short of the week at Collabor8te.
An on-set doc about the making of "Liar", a short film I wrote and won the BAFTA New Talent Writer Award for.
The film was developed as part of Collabor8te a scheme run by Rankin Film, DazedTV and The Bureau.

Done. I can't change it now.
I've submitted two short film screenplays for the Collabor8te competition. It was too good an opportunity to pass up even if there are another 900+ scripts to contend with. I'll await my rejection email in January.
Another shot from the early hours, during the making of Quink Tattoo's film "The Fifth", which went on to win Rankin's Collabor8te & Raindance 48hr Film Competition. Watch online at http://vimeo.com/50479718
This "family portrait", taken on the set of the film, shows Alex Martin-Simons - Executive Producer, Gus Miller - Performance Director, Matt Howey Nunn - Cinematographer, Rory Langdon-Down - Editor & 1st AD, me - Stills Photographer & Set Designer and James Lloyd - Director. What a dream team.
You can tell by our faces how mental tired we are.

This photo is a still from Quink Tattoo's winning short film entry to Rankin's Collabor8te & Raindance 48hr film competition, titled "The Fifth".
Quink Tattoo is an up-and-coming film production company and the brainchild of James Lloyd, Matt Howey Nunn & Rory Langdon-Down. During the film I worked as stills photographer, set designer & general assisant to Matt, the cinematographer. I also helped with colour correction during post.
Making a film from brief to submission in 48 hours was a challenge, but equally enjoyable and fulfilling . Every person involved was key to creating a winning short film. The still above was taken at a ridicluous time of the morning when everyone was too tired to sleep but too close to the end to give up. Please check out the links below for more details..
