New Album Project!

We have a new album project in the works themed around the Major Arcana and are looking for more people to help contribute! Calling remix musicians! Helena Ruth (@helenaruthmusic), pollï ( @pol-li), and psithurist (@oscillatrix) are sending out an open invitation to musicians interested in participating in i l l u, a free-to-download remix album for their collaborative song, “Illuminated.”

The goals of this album are to have fun playing around with a song that’s passed through many hands, mix some awesome music to share with the world, and create a complex collaborative project that shows what musicians can create together, no matter the distance between them!

All interested are encouraged to apply here! Deadline for applications is April 18th, 11:59 PM PST--please do not begin work on a submission until acceptance is confirmed. You can also send questions to the ICU ask box or to [email protected]. This is an ICU (@collabunion) project, but anyone can apply!

“Illuminated” began as a song by myself, Helena Ruth, that was then remixed by pollï, and finally by psithurist. Since I’m currently working on a partially animated music video for psithurist’s version of “Illuminated,” we thought it would be fun to bring some other musicians on board for a remix album! The album will be hosted as a free download on my own Bandcamp and all participants will be thoroughly credited.

"Illuminated" lyrics & melody by Helena Ruth are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. This means all submissions will be shared under this license as well, so please give the license a look! The basic rundown is that anyone can use or create a transformative work from the piece as long as it is used non-commercially and shared under the same license.

The deadline for applications is April 18, 11:59 PM PST. The deadline for completed remixes will be June 14, 11:59 PM PST.

Love Steve/Bucky? Love American Gods? Wanna collaborate on a fic with less grumpy old dudes and more canoodling? Have deep fondness for Bucky Barnes with long, luscious hair? I’M YOUR PAL.

I currently have about 12K of a Steve/Bucky American Gods AU/crossover WIP that I started last year, and I’m looking for artists who’d like to collab with me on the fic. I already have the awesome @redwriteblue on board, and I’m more than glad to get any other interested artist to join! My 12K is so far very little plot but a lot of descriptions of Bucky’s lush hair and great taste in interior design.

Estimated word count will probably be around 20-25K. Since there are several big bangs going on, the working schedule for this fic is very flexible. I’m looking for people who’d like to bounce ideas for the plot and characters. This requires knowledge of what happens in the book, since the plot is more or less following American Gods’s general plot.

I’m an excellent writer and clearly not afraid of tooting my own horn, I love yelling about fics and ideas, and my awesome collaboration credentials can 100% be backed by @sulasaferoom and @misspaperjoker with whom I’ve worked for Cap Reverse Big Bang 2017 and Stucky Big Bang 2016, respectively.
