I do generally like to use a good Toner, as my second step though. 🦋 Details: Most toners I’ve used tend to be Clear, but this one is “Clear Blue Liquid”. I’m not familiar with the ingredient (CI 42090 (Blue 1). It does kinda make it look more appealing. Upon researching; I found that this is a Cosmetic Colorant, and under the EWG Skin Deep Cosmetic Database, CI 42090 (Blue 1) is a 2 score. This isn’t bad, but “use restrictions” is at the low-moderate level for health concerns. It’s basically classified as a “triphenylmethane color”. I notice many KBeauty or other “Organic” Skincare products that I’ve used will give an EWG rating, and 1 or lower is best for anyone Sensitive to certain ingredients, or just truly safe overall. 🦋 Benefits: The Collagen Extract is good for elasticity in skin, & protects skin cells. It’s good for hydration & anti-aging effect. Algae Extracts are good for eliminating toxins from the skin, regeneration of skin cells, and hydration. Great for Sensitive or irritated skin. The Allantoin helps skin retain water, while encouraging skin to stimulate new cell regeneration for healthy skin tissue. 🦋 Generally, toners remove any remaining traces of makeup. This EUI Lab Refreshing Collagen formula helps with the pH, reduce pores, and prep skin for the next step in skincare routines of serums, oils, and moisturizers. 🦋 My thoughts: I have enjoyed how gentle & Hydrating this Toner has been on my skin. The scent is pretty nice, it smells fresh, but can’t quite place what it reminds me of. No burning, redness or dryness after use.
