butsuma figures out that tobirama likes having pressure on the back of his neck so he gets him a custom embroidered collar with the kanji for weapon on the tag and imbues it with his chakra and the first time tobirama puts it on he goes limp and is practically purring in his arms

he cant sleep without it and has to put a genjutsu over it to hide it when he wears it on a mission

Canon gave us this but… I mean come on. That’s a necklace. It’s ROUNDED. It’s not even snug against his neck! The only reason to put him in something like this over, ya know, something that actually looks like a power-dampening collar— is if someone (THAWNE) was going to be moving it around and messing with it while it’s on his neck. AND OR grabbing and manhandling him by it. It being so loose is perfect for that🙂‍↕️. Any of that would’ve been really fun but alas…

As for what other collars one could put on him well…

Barry is so collar-able and canon absolutely squandered every opportunity to put him in one. Put! That! Twink! In! A! Collar!

HEAR HEAR. Allow me to present just a FEW times he could’ve and should’ve been collared:

Instead of (or even alongside) a cuff— stick a power-dampening collar on him and bind that to the wheelchair’s arm. Then if he tries to get up, or even move too far from the chair, he’ll be choked! It should also zap him when he tries to phase out. Andddd Eobard can grab him by it and pull him close when he’s about to Reverse-Flash him. Also—

Zoom could’ve grabbed him by the collar and manhandled him a BUNCH with it (including slamming him into the walls like he does here). Also could’ve choked him if he pulled on it from behind! OR, since Jesse’s already chained up in her cell, why not stick a metal collar on Barry and chain him to the floor by it? Then Zoom can yank him around with the chain, one tug downwards sends him to the floor🙂‍↕️. And ofc it’d be so easy to choke him with that. ALSO Zoom can make the length of chain shorter after Barry pisses him off if he wants :>

Attack on Gorilla City!! Priiiiiiime shock collar opportunity. Don’t you think Grodd would love giving Barry (and co. if you want🙂‍↕️) another taste of the cruelty he’s endured? And the inherent dehumanization of a collar is perfect for that! Plus, Grodd’s already tranqed him and locked him in a cage— a collar seems like the next logical step after that don’t you think?

META-HUMAN PRISON WOULD’VE BEEN A PERFECT COLLARING OPPORTUNITY!!! A shock collar with a tracker anyone? Maybe with enough electricity to render him unconscious if he crosses a certain boundary in the prison so he CAN’T ESCAPE?? Also add some wrist and ankle restraints while you’re at it; maybe even connect those and the collar so he’ll be choked if he tries to move too much. This part of the prison’s already illegal— they can treat him inhumanly without consequence. And again— It might’ve PREVENTED HIM FROM ESCAPING! Additionally— if he WAS sold to Amunet then she absolutely should’ve collared him (whether he had one before or not); that’s another perfectly opportunity for it.

Can’t find any pics that better show his restraint situation in 9x04— but come on now. Red Death and her Rogues chain his wrists to the top of that frame, and his waist to the sides (for some reason??); why not add a collar? Red Death just zapped him in the above pic, she could’ve done it with a shock collar instead or as well! And I’m sure the Rogues would’ve LOVED taking turns electrocuting him by one. Seeing how long he can take it before collapsing to his knees. ALSO any of them could’ve grabbed him by it ofc.
