College students! If you need textbooks for class or even would just like to do the readings always, always first check Library Genesis to see if they have the PDF of it.
They’re super up to date all the time, except for the most recent editions that came out in the past year. And some profs can be lenient with editions, especially if they’re extremely new -- always ask if you need the most recent edition if they don’t specify (ie. say in class you absolutely need the most recent edition, not just what’s on the syllabus). I’m a Civil engineering major and I’ve only had to buy or rent maybe three of my textbooks in my entire four years, and that was mostly because I needed a hard copy of them or wanted a hard copy to keep for reference in my career.
Reblog to save a life. Thank you.
