#throwbackthursday Let's throw all the way back to when #collinkaeperknick wore the red and gold and he began his peaceful protest to bring awareness to the taken lives of these and other unarmed black men who were killed by on duty police officers. It is NOT about the flag or the anthem but about making people so uncomfortable that it forces them into a conversation about police brutality that most whites hadn't thought about since #rodneyking asked if we could just all get along. Kaeperknick reminded us that the answer to Rodney's question has remained "No" for the past 20 years. #realtalktuesday We all know #collinkaeperknick it's being blackballed, and by now we as black people should understand why. They cannot allow anymore black leaders to emerge that have a platform to reach the black community in mass and really create change. They cannot allow a man who dared defy the system continue to operate in that system. Professional sports, especially the NBA and the NFL, are populated and dominated by some of the most phsically fit and intelligent black men on this planet and as long as they are playing the system's "games" they are less motivated to engage in the revolution ( see #jimbrown ). That's why athletes are paid millions of dollars, not only to distract us, but also so they themselves will remain distracted.
