«At the time the building permit was issued, the village of Collonge was under national monument protection, and a fitting type of architecture was insisted on. The architects did not regard these limitations as a kind of external compulsion, but as a stimulus to experimentation; they wanted to see how the optical terrorism, as it were, of apartment house blocks can be avoided.»
