Hello! Idk if I should do this here or in Discord, but oh well. Colly has been plaguing my brain for a while now so I wanted to share the brainworms 😊 Here’s a little prompt:
After something super meaningful happened between Cup and Holly (preferably before they talk about their feelings, for extra spice) , he cupped her face in his hands and tilted her head up while looking like a man on a mission. Holly’s brain and heart went into overdrive somewhere between “oh stars too close, way too close” and “sweet apple fritters is he going to KISS me???!!”. As he got closer (and as Holly’s mind went through the five stages of crush panic and a “oh mercy wasn’t she supposed to get over him dammit!”), she closed her eyes and leaned in, half in flustered panic and half something she didn’t want to name. Just to hear a dull thud as their foreheads connected and a soft “cheers” from Cup, but no kiss. Oh. Oh. Holly’s eyes flew open to see their foreheads still connected and Cuphead, bright-eyed and smiling softly, looking at her like she’s his whole world and then some. All her thoughts crashed and burned as her brain went “it really, really should be illegal to be this beautiful”. Cuphead then said a genuine thank you (she’s so kind, why’s she still so kind to me?). Holly didn’t trust her mouth at the moment (*incoherent screeching and squealing*) so she just nodded. Holly may or may not have suffered a minor heart attack and a bad case of jelly legs during the hours (seconds but hush) he spent looking at her like that until he pulled away. Cuphead walked (he didn’t run, dammit!) away before Holly could regain the necessary brain function to realize he was blushing madly and that he had to viciously fight the urge to kiss her, multiple times. He must suffering from a truly horrible brain damage, really. (denial is a river babe) 😉
I pray that Colly sails one day! I had this scene in my head for some time, so even if it (or something similar” doesn’t happen in the main fic I hope it brightens your day! Maybe even gives you some ideas??? 🙏
Until the fic finishes I will be faithfully squealing at every runestraw moment! ❤️❤️❤️

Heh. Hehehehehehehehe. Cup would *definitely* use cheers to pretend he wasn't thinking of kissing. And thanks for sharing. It did brighten my day!
