Finally, a very special tea tasting session at the Embilmeegama Tea Factory outlet. I got to sample a wide range of teas, and also got to taste a rare strand of White Tea (quite expensive at approx INR 3,500 for 100 gms) with loads of health benefits. The range of teas on offer here is staggering. And I'm going back home a little wiser about brewing potions. More on the teas in my piece! Buildings old and new in Colombo... A 250-year-old temple, right next door to a sky-high communications tower (as yet unopened to the public), colonial structures, the President's residence, and an awe-inspiring national auditorium.
