What if there was a reason Sophia’s main color is green despite it being implied that A-chan’s favorite color was pink?

This comic is meant to be a depiction of DID (Dissociative Idenitity Disorder)! I myself don’t have DID, but a few of my friends do! So when the idea came to me one day thanks to a… surprising amount of material for it in canon I really wanted it to be good representation. And hopefully it is!

And also like— seriously there is a surprising amount of material for this headcanon. Like for example— Sophia’s section in ep 11. And it’s kinda funny how there is so much overlap with the symptoms of DID and Sophia’s whole thing with A-chan, both in canon and in fanfiction! Despite it basically never being intentional in either of those places. So um, ya! I thought it was funny. But I want to explore this idea more so expect some more of this hc/au relatively soon! Hopefully x)

Thank you, Perfume. A personal requiem for the group that taught us how to dream of tomorrow.

The announcement of Perfume's hiatus feels like the end of a life chapter, one that began for many of us in the mid-2000s. In the "lost decade" of J-pop, while other idols promoted approachability, Perfume was the perfect antithesis: they were avatars from an unattainable future, technological goddesses whose perfection placed them on an almost mythological plane. Their hiatus announcement, speaking not of a breakup but a "cold sleep" to "engrave our sparkling image into history", is so meticulous, so futuristic, and so melancholically perfect that it couldn't belong to any other group. The future they promised us is now on pause. And what a beautiful, irreplaceable journey it has been.

Perfumeの活動休止の知らせは、多くの人にとって2000年代半ばに始まった人生の一つの章の終わりのように感じられる。J-POPの「失われた10年」において、他のアイドルが親しみやすさを売りにする中、Perfumeは完璧なアンチテーゼだった。彼女たちは、手の届かない未来からのアバターであり、その完璧さが神話的な領域にまで達したテクノロジーの女神だった。解散ではなく、「私たちの輝かしいイメージを歴史に刻む」ための「コールドスリープ」という言葉で活動休止を告げる発表は、あまりにも緻密で、未来的で、そして物悲しく完璧で、他のどのグループにもあり得ない。彼女たちが約束してくれた未来は今、一時停止している。そして、それは何と美しく、かけがえのない旅だったことだろう。
