Hot Feet
This lizard appears to be trying to keep his body away from this rock, and for good reason. It was a very hot day in Colorado National Monument. I can only imagine how much this stone was sizzling. I find all forms of life to be fascinating. It is interesting to me to see this colorful Collared Lizard with its back toes in the air and is front claws supporting his weight rather than his palms.
