@crossmakere - The main objective of the treatment was to draft an idea that could work for either Paxton or Botlhale, who were both in the top 3 of Idols SA. Results for top two come out a day before you shoot, so your treatment has to be very flexible and “generic” because you don’t know who you are shooting until the results come out on the live show. The driving arc of the concept is Afrofuturism with the use of cultural aesthetics, fantasy, fiction and magical realism. The visuals are a combination of the past and the future. The Ford car represents the present. Ford is integrated into the video as the hero in a very subtle but powerful manner. There are minimalistic patterns, just a clean colour pallet.
