I’ve been really overwhelmed recently *gestures broadly at the world at large* so I haven’t really had the headspace to post. Constantly at odds with my own thoughts and emotions. Even when things quiet in my mind, it feels like if I chase a fanfic idea or a meta brainworm, I’m robbing myself of the opportunity to be prepared. Funny how, sometimes, your own brain works against you like that. 🎈

There’s a lot that gets lost in the fog. But sometimes, when I’m working to get something to look more polished, more ready… I remember that I used to try so hard to draw like Rumiko Takahashi when I was a kid. I was fighting a losing battle, too, never the natural born anything. But then I look at where I am now and I’m so glad I did. Don’t get me wrong, I’m nowhere near where I want to be and would be a lot further along had I not stopped after college but, sometimes, you have to celebrate the little wins to keep progressing toward the big ones. 🍾
