Do you remember the colour of your house in 1966? Was it one of these single colours, or perhaps the suggested colour combinations? Fashion Gold, Rattan, or Sage? Pumpkin or Blue Lagoon?
It is reported that "Resene have pedalled paint since Stipplecoat was invented in Eastbourne in 1946". Resene was the first company to introduced water-based paints to New Zealand, in the 1950s.

In case you didn’t know- I was asked by the lovely @meloartist to colour their fancomic! here’s an unused snippet for you, as a treat: we didn’t end up choosing this colour scheme because it was too moody for the rest of the pages. you can read the comic here, now in shiny PDF form!
Hold me closer, tiny canvas: three mini cavases I did with acrylic paint pen on dulux colour sample squares I nabbed from the hardware shop. (Passion flower, baked aubergine, and regal purple in order of appearance.)
I named some of my homemade colour samples after the The Irregulars characters

I often see bold colours next to each other in life and think “what a great colour complement!” (Frequently the flat’s towel rack actually...)
I’m thinking I might actually make sample boxes of some of them and turn them into a series (so I can refer to them later, or you guys can sample ‘em). They might not always be good for painting, but they could still make good design schemes or be inspiration!
They’ll likely be mostly trios but I’m open to duo if I any of those jump out at me.
I’ll put them in the [colour samples] tag, and tag them with numbers too (eg cs001)
