I spent Christmas holidays at home in Austria, which was so amazing and refreshing. I was excited to be in the country side again as it gave me the perfect opportunity to take some time to focus on colour experimentation for the children’s book I’m going to illustrate. I wanted to create a two-colour scheme + shades, which in my case turned out to be blue-ish and orange-ish. Being surrounded by nature gave me the chance to gather physical colours and tones for my scheme which will have the benefit of making my illustrations less flat and virtual but instead more natural and real.
