randomly crying over imagining older boyfriend!toji as a baby.:(

toji wakes up to you full on crying into his chest at three in the morning, shoulders shaking while you cling to his shirt like your life depends on it, and for one horrible second he thinks somebody died. hes literally awake instantly, his rough hand grabbing your arm while he squints down at you in the dark, still half asleep and already irritated.

"the hell happened?"

you look up at him with watery eyes and somehow start crying harder, and now hes genuinely concerned.

his hand cups your face, thumb brushing under your eye while he tries to figure out what could possibly have you this devastated in the middle of the night. "the hells wrong with you?"

you suck in a shaky breath before blurting it out.

"you used to be a little baby."

toji goes completely still. what the hell?

"the fuck?"

"you had little hands," you continue tearfully, voice wobbling more the longer you think about it. "and tiny little shoes and baby clothes and your hair was probably all messy and-"

another sob cuts you off, and he stares at you like this is the dumbest thing hes ever heard in his life.

"you wakin me up cryin' over baby me?" he asks flatly, and you nod miserably against his chest.

"Its cute." you whisper.

a rough groan leaves him while he drops his head back against the pillow, already exhausted.

"you probably had little overalls," you mumble sadly, clutching onto him tighter. "and little baby sneakers."

"I had sandals," he mutters without thinking.

that literally does it. your face crumples instantly and you actually let out a broken little sob into his chest like that information physically wounded you.

"oh my god," you cry. "tiny baby sandals!?"

toji almost immediately regrets speaking.

"you were somebodys tiny baby," you mumblr into his shirt. "with sandals."

he still pulls you closer anyway, his big arms wrapping around you while you stay curled against his chest mourning the fact that this huge and rough grown man was once a little kid, and toji just lays there holding you with the flattest expression imaginable while his hand rubs slow circles into your back.

jesus christ.

a/n: its the way my baby fever is SO BAD RIGHT NOW LIKE ALL MY FICS ARE ABOUT BABIES😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I WANT ONE. also i dunno why i said sandals i just did okay. Im writing yk im getting back on that grind, im ready to post everyday maybe (if i can be asked to write on my phone at work)
