“Wow!! Look at all that rain…” Midoriya stood behind theopen sliding doors, slack-jawed, as the howling wind from outside sprayeddroplets of water at his ankles. “I knew the weather forecast called forthunderstorms, but I didn’t think they would be this bad…”

“Don’t tell me a little water’s going to scare you? Pathetic.”Bakugou marched right up to the double doors, intentionally bumping Midoriya’sshoulder as he passed. “Outta my way, nerd. I ain’t stayin’ here with you.”

“K-kacchan, wait, I don’t think that’s such a good idea—!”

It wasn’t even a minute later that Bakugou Katsuki foundhimself back inside, soaked from head to toe, and looking a lot like a pissedoff cat.

“Kacchan…”

“Don’t. Say. A. Word.”

“You need to dry off! You’ll catch a cold!” Midoriya wasoffering his jacket, his facial expression reflecting pure, unadulteratedconcern. It made Bakugou sick to his stomach. “Can’t you at least take thisuntil it stops raining?”

“Bastard! I don’t need your pity!” The jacket was shovedaway in a fit of rage. Bakugou plopped his wet butt onto one of the couchesinside the lobby and stared stubbornly out the window. “Don’t say another wordto me. Got it? When the rain stops, I’m fuckin’ going home.”

A green, striped jacket was suddenly draped over his head,effectively blocking his view. “You’re wearing it.”

“Deku…” Bakugou growled, smooshing the jacket into his lap sohe could glare at Midoriya with full force. “You…”

“You’re wearing it! Why do you always have to be sostubborn, Kacchan?!” There was desperation in his voice—it pissed Bakugou off. “It’sokay to take help from someone else for a change, you know!”

“I’m not wearing it, dammit!” As he clenched his hands, smallpuffs of smoke rose from them, into the air. Whether he intended it, or not, theactivation of his quirk often accompanied his anger. “Take it back. Or I’llscorch it!”

“Scorch it then. I don’t care…” Midoriya stared at himindignantly, and he found himself taken aback. Just where was all thisconfidence coming from…? This weak shrimp would snivel and cry at just aboutanything. Why wasn’t he scared now?! “I don’t want it back. Not until you’redry. Knowing you, though, Kacchan, you would rather toast yourself—and myjacket—with your quirk, before accepting help from me. But. But…”

Bakugou stared up at Midoriya, dumbfounded. He didn’t careif his jacket was toast? Was he stupid? Then he’d be without one, too. It wasn’tlike it wouldn’t be cold outside after the rain quit.

“Friends help friends!! And you’re no exception, Kacchan!!That’s a lesson you need to learn someday!”

There was a long moment of silence.

“… What a joke. You really think I’d be friends with a nerd likeyou? Hahaha! Mooooron. I told you before, I don’t need your damn pity!” Despitewhat was coming out of his mouth—and for some reason, his anger had toned downsome, too—he hadn’t scorched the jacket yet. In fact… and, if asked, he’d arguehis hands were moving on their own, that it was just really cold, and that it wasn’t because Deku had said anythingstupidly nice to him or whatever… he was actually wiping his face dry with it.

“Tche. This is some bullshit…” His gaze was back on thestorm a moment later, as grumpy as ever, but he was considerably drier now. The jacket remained in his lap, slightly damp. Bakugoudidn’t dare look Midoriya in the eye—he didn’t wanna see whatever smugexpression the guy was wearing. “You gonna stand there forever? Idiot. Thisstorm isn’t going to pass in five minutes.”

Then I found out you're the writer of one of my fav OiKuro fics and I was mindblown. Brain matter splattered everywhere. “Talk about something someone told you that meant a lot.”

!!!! okay for the past few years my relationship with my mom has been in a strange, uncertain kind of way because of my personal problems that i didn’t want to let her know. one day i just couldn’t take it anymore - by it i mean life in general because i was (still am? sorta) in a pretty bad place - so i just talked to her and confided (mostly) everything that i needed to tell, and she told me something along the lines of “i bore you for months by myself, when everybody left me. in a way, you were there when nobody else was. as your mother i will never turn my back on you, no matter what” and that means SO SO much to me.

my answer to this ask was supposed to be pretty lighthearted but i just revealed something precious to me and i’m okay with that, because im proud and happy with my mom.
