The purpose of art is allowing someone to express their emotions, creativity and show who they are. Colouring does provides us with an opportunity to express ourselves and use our creativity. Hayley has started colouring and doodling since she was one. She loves exploring the colours and drawing. Even on herself and on our hands. Yes. As long as it doesn't gets too bad, we try not to stop her. Keke. Very often, she colours the sky pink, the trees orange and the rabbit blue or in different colours. There were times where I really wanted to tell her, shouldn't the sky be blue? Parenting is a ever learning journey. I'm still observing and learning from my girl as well. Recently, @colourmemats provided me another set of coloured markers, a set of big and small mats for my use in exchange for my honest opinions. Truth be told. I thought that Hayley will jus use it like her usual colouring kits. A pleasant surprise i would say. She was very excited by the thin and thick markers, even the box. The previous packaging was just a transparent plastic bag, but now. They come in a nice box with coloured pictures that resembles the underwater world. She not only colours the mat. She tried to trace the animals, the dolphins and her favourite shark! Not only that, she wrote A on the polar bear. I didn't know she could write an A. Yes! Its amazing how she surprises me most of the time. Yes, sounds very suaku. But its really very exciting every time a child unlock her milestone isn't it? Super excited to receive the #colourmemats from @colourmemats! I can't wait for @eden.alkaffkoh to be able to start colouring these easy-to-clean mats.
