#// PERCY; FACING OFF A GODDESS IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT: BITCH WYD
i just want to thank @colourphone this tag is now my life
colourphone replied to your post: #What I need; I think; is a solid vacation from...
“No, I’m not happy, ‘cause I gotta worry 'bout my BABY SISTER bein’ 'round you–”
“Because I’m such a threat to Ella. I’m not going to let the bird girl get hurt.”
@colourphone ll one liners ll accepting.
“But who would win in a fight -- My brother Jormungandr, or your Scylla? Or do you think they’d just be friends?”
a long day, but a happy one. they’d invited iris over for dinner, wanted her to see the progress ella had been making: eating more, bathing more, smiling more. euryale has never been happier.
but something medusa had said to her earlier gives her pause, makes her watch iris more closely than usual. (she’s always wondered, is iris truly as happy as she appears? ----- or are all those colors just a way to convince herself she is?)
she finds her after dinner, sits down beside her. “you know, i hated what i was when i was transformed,” she says, voice a pleasant hum, “i thought i was only valuable because of my beauty. because i was something soft and lovely and that was all i was.” that had no basis in logic, of course, her sisters loved her no matter what, but ------ it was still how she felt. how she judged herself.
“i feel differently now, of course. beauty is important, ask aphrodite; but not in regards to a person’s self worth. there can be freedom in ugliness and monstrosity if you choose to seek it.”

@colourphone The drunk goddess gave Iris a small smile, leaning forward in her chair as she looked at her, reaching forward to grasp her forearm loosely. She'd had to drink just to come here to see Iris, feeling more than a little nervous and perhaps guilty for her flirtatious nature. She'd already decided against telling her about /that/ part of herself, feeling it better to simply repress it so that she didn't risk hurting Iris. She saw her jaw clench, and guilt clawed at her now. She had no excuse for seeming to string her along, and she had no excuse for not getting the courage up to tell the older goddess how she felt. Finally, her smile slid away, changing to a sad expression. "I love you, Iris."
“Iris, Iris, I-ris, Irisssss!” He seems excited about something, eyes bright and body practically vibrating with energy.
“I was thinking about when we were talking about family reunions and I realised something. Your mother is a daughter Oceanus, right? Well my grandfather, Scamander, and my great grandmother, Simoeis, are both children of Oceanus too! So that means we’re cousins or something. We’re related.”
