I think I watched 4 Ryan Gosling movies in one night
I started with my third Hail Mary rewatch, then The Fall Guy, then The Nice Guys, then The Gray Man.
Then I drew this bullshit

and i'll say i love you and mean it this time, say i'm sorry for everything else . if we found a way to the other side, i'd be willing and able .
More starstruck... i can't help myself...
As someone who has had back surgery before, I hella resonate with Colt and his recovery process.
Mine was a bit different, since I had a scoliosis surgery, but i was genuinely cut open and two titanium rods were screwed into my spine to keep it straight-
That being said, I had a long recovery process and very much, even after 6 years, still have lasting effects.
Something I don’t think people talk about enough is the scar he’ll have. It took MONTHS for me to even feel anything on my back. (Also his scar was wayyyy too small imo.)
Nowadays I can feel pretty much everything except a quarter of an inch around the scar. And even then, maybe an inch around the scare I can hardly feel the actual sensation atop the skin.
Also the fact that he was stunting after 18 months???? Tf???? I wasn’t even cleared to be on a mechanical bull until after a year, and still then I was told I needed to be extra careful.
I also know it probably hella hurts for him to be doing any fast motions or anything that puts pressure on his spine vertically.
I can’t jump on trampolines for more than 30 seconds without it hurting, and amusement park rides where it’s mostly centripetal force hella hurts, so I’m astounded he wasn’t hurting more from the stunts.
It may be different because he had a different back injury/surgery, but I would assume most back surgery’s would have similar recovery processes and especially my recovery I felt was on the shorter end of the stick.
