Surefire M951 with LaRue Mount

Had the latter sitting around forever since the M951 was on the @bureau-of-mines's PCC

I bought an Arisaka light for him, so the crusty GWOT weapon light lives on the M4gery now

Update to the slopmod

Got a killflash, spare battery extension, and rubber cap retainer for the Aimpoint Only major thing that's left is really just adding a UID tag

and if SBR's are ever taken off the NFA, I'll swap the 16" barrel for a 10.3" >:3

Giving the VTAC Light Mount a chance I actually really kinda fuck with it, as old and janky as it is Puts a Surefire 660 at the perfect spot to let me rotate my thumb up and hit the momentary button

A recent pick from a local gun store - Colt LE6920/M4 Carbine, 2015 dated

At first my mind briefly wandered through all the potential clones to make with it, I've since discovered an appreciation for just how simple it is.

I love all my clones to death, but this boring-ass factory default Colt rifle made me find joy in the mediocrity - a nostalgia for something I might have seen dozens of times in a Sportsman's Guide or Cabela's magazine back in the day tucked amidst all the cringy zombie-themed parts and block 1 SOPMOD wannabes.

A rifle so plain and unassuming it actually makes me love it. This is a rifle I care about but yet have no high stakes or grand investments put into it. There was absolutely zero struggle involved in acquiring this rifle other than cleaning off the factory cosmoline.

The CAG clones I'm working on might be my pride and joy, but I still see them more as functional museum pieces. This basicbitch M4? I love it for completely different reasons. This rifle gives no bullshit and you know exactly what you're getting out of it from just a glance.

A gun without $2000 of rare and discontinued accessories is just one you feel all the more confident using. This is a rifle with nothing to hide.

tl;dr - low-key mad cause this boring-ass mid-2000's cop rifle might be the happiest I've ever been over a gun lmao
