It was strange to be living with so many other humans now after getting to be alone in Jae’s apartment. Privacy, like he’d become accustomed to, had become scarce. Being modest wasn’t really an option anymore. So, when he can across Colt putting a clean shirt on, be politely turned his gaze to the floor. Gosh he...had a nice body... he cleared his throat quietly to make his presence know and silently scolded himself for letting his eyes wander. “Colt...right?” Reed quietly asked to make sure. “Hi...” he offered a small shy smile. “Feel like a walk around the Hive?” It was Sunday after all and Reed had the time to do so.

Reed stood under the pressure of the water for a moment, drying desperately to wash the stench of the city off of himself and to collect his thoughts. It felt like for days he’d smelt like nothing more than smoke and gore. The rebel attack had been a failure and everyone in the Gutters had been refit with a new working collar. As punishment perhaps, now they had to clean up the city now filled with rubble and drenched in blood. Hearing someone approach him as he let the water fall over his face, Reed sighed. “Just five more minutes?” he asked, expecting it to be a guard. “Please?”

Despite being surrounded by some of the most lovely bits of nature and scenery, there was something...off about it all. Maybe it was because they were in the middle of the new city or maybe it was due to the sheer number of beings that were around. Either way, Vered was seeking out some sort of comfort. Trying to stay along the outskirts of the party, Vered made his way to a rather large tree and slipped behind it for a moment. He allowed himself to release the concealment of his wings and let them open behind him with a soft sigh. Looking down at his bare feet, he wiggled his toes in the grass and smiled. Small white flowers bloomed up around his ankles as he focused on breathing a bit a life into the ground around him. For the moment, he was relaxed enough to not be aware that someone else was nearby.
