I woke up in the middle of the night after dreaming about Colton, so I noted this down. Because it's mostly silly in the exact correct genre.
He wasn't magically back or anything, it was some full fledged Homestuckian conversation with Past PenroseParticle (PPP) checking in from when he was still alive. It was fun, until he brought up doing something together, and all I could say was "Well." Just as much as I knew he was from the past, apparently he knew he was talking to my current (future) version too. I didn't need to tell him that he wouldn't be around for made plans.
And so I got to tell him I love him, but I also got to wonder, in that same conversation, if it was going to change what already happened. If somehow this was going to affect the outcome of a different timeline. Again, just fully Homestuck. AS IT SHOULD BE.
I mean, it doesn't matter much. We're in this timeline either way. (But it sure would be nice.)

Today I saw a Keith Haring baseball cap with the barking dog embroidered on it and my first thought was "Colton would love this." I didn't know him, but I followed his blog for a long time as a lurker even before I hit follow officially, and he made it easy to know at least some of the many, many things he loved.
He would love this! He loved hats, and had a hard time finding hats that were big enough--if the hat fit him, he would have been over the moon.
He had the Keith Haring barking dog as a tattoo on one of his upper arms.
