Movie Miniview: Life of the Party

O: Melissa McCarthy, a funny comedian, plays a mom in a very cliched movie where every cliche happens. Including all of them.

Still funny. I laughed. 

I don’t get how her character had anxiety over public speaking but still spoke to larger groups of people in other parts of the movie?? 

Would recommend to a friend to rent.

When is the next Code Crimson update, and what have you two been up to?

As you may know, The Code Crimson was launched by the lovely Lisa and your humble writer Elizabeth, who hates talking about herself in the third person.

There have been some big upheavals and major changes and LIFE STUFF going on with each of us separately, which has alas limited the time Lisa and I have had to devote to The Code Crimson together. However, we do have a comic coming up soon for an art show inspired by Ovid's Metamorphosis in jolly old England. You may have noticed I've posted lots of work in progress shots, and I'll be posting the full comic next week. The final piece will be almost 6 feet by 6 feet, which is huge and impressive in its pure awesomeness.

Meanwhile, Lisa will be working on improving her own online store and making more solo art. Go check out Coma Girl's Facebook page for more details, and to keep up with her latest adorable masterpieces.

As for me, I am working on launching an exciting new graphic novel! Enigmatic Patterns: The Life and Death of Alan Turing tells the incredible and tragic story of the man behind the idea of a universal machine, the father of artificial intelligence and a pioneer in computer science. There's a new update to that website in progress, and I'll be making some exciting new announcements about that very soon. Please do check it out!

We've been so incredibly proud of the work we've both done on The Code Crimson, and worry not, we will be returning. In the meantime, we've got the prologue and two complete issues to peruse, and the third issue in progress will be wrapped up in 2015.
