Fun fact, you can look at the earth live from the International Space Station.

The ISS feed has three looks (and thats it!):

The "It's in Earth's Shadow" Black Screen

The "Switching Access Points" Screen

And the 👁️👄👁️

45 minutes in the sun, 45 minutes in Earth's Shadow, (90 minute orbit) so half the time there's nothing to show. Minus! the time that the video feed is shut off for bandwidth or switching data access points. So less then half the time it's awe inspiring but the times when it is: amazing.

I bought a 4 or 5 inch monitor for my desk that's just a browser window to this YouTube page.

You can hear the astronauts talk to ground control. A lot of it is mundane stuff like "hey, these serial numbers don't match up, what do I do?" or "houston the barcode scanner isn't syncing with the ipad, I've tried rebooting both".

every time I get a survey request from walgreens I always say the same thing, until its improved. UNDERSTAFFED >:(

Not enough Staff! Was there a problem? Yeah! THE THING I WANT IS LOCKED UP >:'( and you gave the key (singular) to the cashier who has a line, because they're one of six walgreens employees in all of chicago.

Then I mention that I go to the staples nearby :) whose batteries are unlocked, with several cashiers (plural), and so many employees I was carried around like kuzco.

then I go to staples and tell them walgreens gave me a massage, so by the time walg improves I;ll get to point to stapler and say they threw me a bday party

actually I do think I have evidence my reviews led to change. There was a nearby business whose front door was broken and would SLAM so fuckin loud and I left a four star review raving about the place, but the door was the one bad spot and like three days later it was fixed. It was bad for weeks, so maybe it was the timing.

another time I complained about a convenience store never having cocacola in stock but always having one of those weird flavors like cherry cola. Same thing, four stars, and then like a week later cherry was gone and another shelf of plain coke was available and now they usually have some available :)

my oldest nephew got stitches from an impact from a high schooler on an e-scooter going around a blind curve :(
