To me Straight Pride doesn't feel like "Let's celebrate that being straight has forever been socially accepted" it feels more like "Hey! Why do you gays go celebrate your sexuality while I can't? What, ya think you're better than me?" and it's by people who don't understand that pride isn't just about homosexuality but all sexualitets, including hetero. It's about celebrating love, acceptance and progress! People come together and celebrate that it's okay for us all to love each other in anyway!
you’re right! altho for me, Pride is about taking pride in who you really are and fighting for equal rights and acceptance. and uh, as far as I know straight people don’t have to fight for rights as they already have all of them :y
but yeah, it should be about accepting and loving eachother, everyone can celebrate whatever they want, but I still think that straight pride makes no sense at all.
