Stacy's mom has got it going on.
Today while doing my homework like the good student that I am, I was listening to pandora. I have a station that plays music that I listened to ten years ago. Like the Backstreet Boys, Fountains of Wayne, Avril Lavigne and the Spice Girls. It's music that is old (to me) but I find to be amazing and catchy and perfect for almost any situation.
Anyway I was thinking of what to write my blog on when a Backsteet Boys song came on and it made me remember something that happened to me a couple weeks ago. My brother was over with his kids and I was in my room trying to get some work done and at one point my oldest nephew, who will be 14 in January came in to my room just as "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys came on Pandora.
Being the fangirl that I am, and being that that was and is my favorite song EVER, I had a little fangirl moment where i jumped around singing and dancing and saying things somewhere along the lines of "OMG BACKSREET BOYS!!" My nephew was just kind of looking at me like "what..." Then he went over to my computer, I'm assuming to check what the song was and after looking he turned around and asked "Whats a Backstreet Boy?"
After he asked that I told him to leave my room because we were no longer related. I was kidding, but still. what kind of question was that?!
Thinking about it now I realize that that's probably how my older siblings felt when I would walk in to their rooms as a little kid and have absolutely no idea what they were listening to. I guess in another ten years someone will be offended because a little kid will have the audacity to ask "What's a Carly Rae Jepsen, and why does she want me to call her maybe?"
