Repent and believe the good news!
“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

The subject verse from the gospel according to Mark convey us the very words of our Lord, Jesus Christ. As the first part of the verse says, "the time has come". According to KJV translation, it portrays that part of the verse as "the time is fulfilled". Furthermore, the prophecies of the prophets were fulfilled by the birth of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. And the Messiah, Jesus himself confirms the fulfillment of the prophecy through the subject verse.
But now as the prophets foretold and as the eternal God has commanded, this message is made known to all Gentiles everywhere, so that they too might believe and obey him. Romans 16:26 NLT
God's plan of salvation
Since the Messiah has come, the kingdom of God which was preached by the prophets is also near. And the Lord reiterated the same good news of salvation to all. For He is the one who rescues and establishes the said Kingdom. Very importantly, all are to repent of their sins and believe in the Begotten Son of God. Yes brethren, repentance of our sins and faith in the Lord Jesus are indeed required to get into his Holy Kingdom. The Almighty God's plan of eternal salvation is offered to all through His Son. Even more, He alone can can cleanse our sins once for all.
