A Sinner and The Lords Mercy.
Deep true story of Prophet Moses and the secret sinner.
It has been related that during the time of Prophet Musa (Moses) (peace be upon him): the Children of Israel were afflicted with a drought. The people went to Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) and said, "O one who has spoken to Allah, invoke your Lord to provide us with rain." He, accompanied by the people, went out to the desert, they numbered 70,000 or more.
Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) supplicated for rain and for Allah's mercy. However nothing happened, except that the sky seemed to be even drier and the sun seemed even more oppressive with its heat. Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) was surprised and asked his Lord for the reason behind that. Allah Almighty inspired to him, "Indeed, among you is a slave who has been challenging Me with sins for the past forty years. Call out to the people until he comes out from among them, for because of him you were prevented (from rain)." Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) said, "My Lord, I am a weak slave and my voice is weak. How can my voice convey (to them) when they are 70,000 or more in number?" Almighty Allah inspired to him, "From you is the call and from Us is its conveyance."
Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) stood as a caller and said, "O sinning slave who has challenged Allah with sins for the last forty years, come out from among us, for because of you we have been deprived from rain."
The sinner turned to the left and to the right. Seeing no one coming out from among them, made him realise that he was the one who was wanted. He (the sinner) said to himself, "If I go forward from among this group of creation, then I will expose myself. But if I sit with them, then they will be deprived because of me." The man put his head in his garment, regretting his evil deeds. He said "My Lord, I have disobeyed you for forty years and You (Allah) have given me respite. I have come to You (Allah) in obedience, so accept it from me."
He no sooner finished his speech when a white cloud appeared and the rain came down in abundance.
Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) said, "My Lord, why did You give us drink when none from among us came out?" Allah inspired to him and said, "O Musa, I have given you rain because of the same man who was the reason why I (Allah) prevented you from rain (the man who repented).
Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) said, "My Lord, let me see this obedient slave."
Allah Almighty inspired to him and said, "O Musa, I did not expose him when he was disobeying Me, then do you expect Me to expose him while he is obedient to Me?"
Proverbs 27:6 “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But deceitful are the kisses of an enemy.” Who would prefer a friend’s wounds to an enemy’s kisses? Anyone who considers the source. A friend who has your best interests at heart may have to give you unpleasant advice at times, but you know it is for your own good. An enemy, by contrast, may whisper sweet words and happily send you on your way to ruin. We tend to hear what we want to hear, even if an enemy is the only one who will say it. A friend’s words, no matter how painful, are much more valuable. . . . . . #christians #jesuslovesyou #jesus #christ #bible #jesuschrist #god #salvation #transformation #faith #hope #love #church #believe #christianity #wakeup #repent #repentandbelieve #holyspirit #holybible https://www.instagram.com/p/CCd-dmblJO8/?igshid=n77yzsafrutf
thank God
I'm not who I used to be
Hell is a topic many of us tend to steer away from and with "good reason." Hell is a horrific place and this is the EXACT reason why we must address it. Hell cannot be considered the "final resting place" for the damned because the Lord says there will be no peace for the wicked (Is. 48:22) As Christians, we plead with the non-believing world to repent and trust in Jesus Christ, understanding many will mock us and our faith. We also understand Salvation is solely of the Lord, so it is He who decides who will be saved; it is the responsibility of the Christian to faithfully preach God's Word and His glorious Gospel. Only Jesus can save a dying world from their sins. Only Jesus can open the eyes of the blind and shine His light in the darkened hearts of unbelievers. As @flame314 said, "you ain't gotta die in sin, get to know God come alive again!" #GodOverPorn #RepentAndBelieve #JesusSaves #Gospel #Salvation #Damnation
Repentance— mind and action.
Repentance is a change of mind.
I heard someone say the other day, “what you think causes how you feel; how you feel causes what you do.”
Mind and behavior are linked. What we think ultimately determines what we do. If we think of evil/sin, we are bound to act on our wicked thoughts. Likewise, if our minds are on that which is good/righteous, we will act on the things that are pleasing to God (and not our flesh).
A repentant, or a changed, mind will begin to think in the direction in which it has turned. As a result, actions that are contrary to the former pattern will be produced.
True repentance isn’t solely apologetic words, It’s an apologetic mind followed by corrective action(s).
I don’t want you to change for me, who am I?
Change because you desire better for yourself,
because you desire to be closer to God.
