What is this PROMS and Jerusalem you speak of? I'm a tad bit confused, although enchanted because the drawings are precious!
The PROMS are a series of concerts during the summer months in London, originally created by Sir Henry Wood around the turn of the 19th/20th century. They were meant to be enjoyed by all classes of society and were a tremendous success. They have taken place ever since then on a yearly basis (except war years, I think) and are hugely popular in Britain. Now, Jerusalem is particular piece of music that was composed by Sir Hubert Parry in 1916 and is based on a poem by William Blake. There then is some history around it but nowadays it’s not only … I think Liverpools Football Clubs anthem but also basically Britains second national anthem and sung wholeheartedly at every Last Night of the Proms. :DSearch for “Jerusalem Last Night of the Proms 2012″ on youtube, and you’ll find a video that shows just what I am sure Holmes and Watson would NOT MISS TO JOIN! :D <3 (especially the flag waving… xD)http://windmaedchen.tumblr.com/post/97429395861/because-i-love-the-proms-3-sadly-they-are-over
