me and tolly discussed this a lot earlier (hi tolly this is your post LOL) and i have the same sort of feelings. BUT I'm going to try and be positive about it though because almost all of the ABC game shows have been successful (my mom loves them and i watch occasionally) and i take comfort in the fact that Anthony Anderson hosts To Tell the Truth and has a successful, emmy-nominated sitcom. with joel's humor, i feel like it wont be ultimate cringe.
also, he hosted The Soup for 11 years (v different tho lmao), and that hosting gig got him Community! so hopefully this will put him on people's radars. AND NOW IN CONCLUSION: he's a host, comedian and actor. and he's done comedies and dramas and everything in between. HE HAS THE RANGE! we gotta trust!!!!! okay sorry for the novel, just very passionate the man
Reminding me of the fact that it will be HIS game show with HIS humour made me feel a bit better. And you’re right, The Soup led to Community, so, who knows!

Tbh the first thought that came to mind and its a very harsh and insensitive thought was "oh wait til this gets canceled" i dont mean to be an asshole but i mean he really has not been "winning" lately shows wise. But hey game shows sometimes turn into institutions so hopefully his will as well. I just want him to be able to sustain both himself and his family whichever way possible. Sadly, i'll probably wont be watching cause i too hate game shows, they're the ultimate cringe.
LMAO, I literally call it the Joel Curse when I think about his shows being cancelled. I feel like you have to watch at least one episode though, even if it’s just to ogle him in a suit (he’s probably gonna wear one, right? Unless they make him a Casual Game Show Host).

I want to believe you, @zacscottysnl I do. While I don’t care for game shows, maybe this will give him more exposure so he can do something else ;)
Honestly, I said to @zacscottysnl yesterday, I just want him to gain enough exposure that he gets to do a WIRED Autocomplete interview. That’s all I ask. That’s all I want. I just want to experience that.
But that’s also wild because it’s not like he isn’t famous or well known? Joel’s career is so confusing, lmao.

I think it's great. At least we can watch him on the television every week before Stargirl come out (heard it will be released till next year).
True! We can never really complain when we’re getting new content regularly.
1. if someone wanted to really understand you, what would they read, watch, and listen to?
They should read Yes Please by Amy Poehler, they should watch Community, and they should listen to Bo Burnham’s stand up comedy. All three speak to me in some way or another and mean a lot to me. Amy’s book talks a lot about my interests, as well as tackling some personal things I think about myself. Community is exactly my type of humor and has characters that have found their way into my heart (”Greendale is where I belong!!”) And Bo’s stand up is not only brilliantly hilarious, but a lot of his messages are important and reflect on some struggles I’ve come across in my life :)
3. list your fandoms and one character from each that you identify with.
Community: Abed Nadir— like Abed, I am very much an observer and I’d like to think that I am very good at reading people and predicting their behavior. And I also love watching television and movies ;)
Parks & Rec: Leslie Knope— Leslie is passionate about the things she loves and wants to make the world a better place even by doing the smallest things. I try to be like that
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Charles Boyle— he is very much his friends’ biggest cheerleader and i’d like to think i am that for my friends :)
There are more shows i love, but here are three!
30. pick one of your favorite quotes.
I answered this one already with another quote, but I’ll pick another for this one ;)
“Do your thing and don’t care if they like it.” — Tina Fey, Bossy Pants
There are a few from the show, of course---Home by Edward Sharpe and the Zeros, Gravity by Sara Bareilles, Ends of the Earth by Lord Huron---but the song that I associate most with Jeff and Annie is Eat You Alive by The Oh Hellos thanks to this sublime fanvid by @atsp88:

Imho, Donald as Childish Gambino just showed america its true face with the This Is America video and trust me not everybody's loving and praising it for the incredible social commentary that it is, some "people" are seeing it as a slap in their american patriotic face so they're digging up some old crap trying to discredit him.
This is probably v accurate.

You should watch him do comedy (SNL / Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt). It’s even more attractive, at least for me cause i never really watched Mad Men but i very much like This One (1) Man.
Omg ohhh yeah, he’s in UKS!! I stopped watching after Season 1 because I just couldn’t get into the next season but LOL, that’s funny.
