I may have social anxiety because whenever I try to talk to someone,I can't get my words out at all and it feels like I'm being muted.I want to interact with people, but with this anxiety my social life is absolutely awful.I always feel like I'm bothering people when I try to talk to them,I feel like people are just forcing themselves to reply when I actually try to speak to them.
Thatdefinitely does sound like social anxiety! It can be really hard tointeract with the people around you when anxiety is muting yourvoice. I have social anxiety, and I totally know what it feels liketo be muted by that clenching in your throat. It's really hard!
Thereare things you can do to to try to control your social anxiety. Thebest thing you can do is to try to find someone to help you workthrough your social anxiety. Mental health professionals are trainedto help you learn anxiety management methods.
Workingthrough your anxiety by learning to breathe through anxiety attackscan be a huge benefit. Count your breaths so that you breathe in forfour breaths, and breath out for four breaths.
Hereare some things you can do to try to treat your anxiety without thehelp of a mental health professional
Keep track of your anxious times
Exercise to burn off your anxious energy
Reward yourself for doing difficult things
